Lecture theatre instructions
What is it?
A series of instructions have been written detailing how to operate the touch-panel control systems that are found in lecture theatres across the University. The touch-panel control systems allows
the user to control all classroom media facilities
(with the exception of the manually-operated
over-head projector).
Classroom media facilities include:
- VHS player/recorder
- DVD player
- PC (networked)
- lectern microphone
- lapel and handheld microphones
- document camera
- lighting on dimmer controls
- data projector
Audio is produced through a line-source ceiling array, as well as program speakers, assuringhigh-end quality sound reproduction. A telephone with a direct link to the Classroom Media Helpdesk (ext. 8010) is also provided in each venue to deal with those last minute hiccups and problems.
Why use it?
Lecture theatre technology is useful to aid classes, tutorial and lectures. Operating instructions are provided for those who are not familiar with using the touch-panel control system.
