Don’t postpone exploring the world until after you graduate! The Faculty of Business and Enterprise lets you combine study and travel, so you complete your course in the same amount of time as if you were in Australia sometimes less.
Taking part in International Student exchange a study tour or short-term program allows you to develop skills that you can benefit from personally and professionally.
Whatever your study area preferences are, there’s something to suit you. International Student Exchange, Study tours or Short term programs are perfect for internationalising your course in a short amount of time. They range in duration from two weeks, a month, 6 months or 12 months and they can take you to exciting destination all over the world.
What is the International Student Exchange Program?
The International Student Exchange Program is the most popular and prestigious international program for current Swinburne students. It offers students the opportunity to study one or two semesters at an Exchange Partner University. Students will receive credit towards their Swinburne degree while studying at unique locations around the world.
What are the Programs available to current FBE students?
- European Union Study Tour
Departing each December and running for two weeks, this annual study tour travels across eight cities in six key members countries of the European Union. You will visit Australian embassies and consulates, Austrade, European Union institutions and other important international bodies. You will be able to engage with spokespeople who will explain their role and their relationship with Australia.
- Asia Pacific Rim Business Study Tour
Do you want to experience different Asian Business culture and learn how they deal with rapid international business development? You will visit several institutions, such as export and trade organisations, investment banks and business enterprises to give you a first hand experience of current cultural, political and regulatory environments of the destination countries.
- Study in Italy: Treviso Program
This four-week study program, allows you to experience Italy’s rich history and culture, while understanding modern Italian society and business practices. Treviso is a delightful little city in the north-east of italy where you will appreciate Italian society first hand, improve your Italian language skills, gain a competitive advantage in your future and gain an international experience.
- Elective Plus @ Sarawak: Malaysia
This four-Week program study tour gives you the opportunity to undertake an Electives Plus sequence and fast-track your undergraduate degree. Experience the amazing destination of Kuching, Malaysia- home to Swinburne’s Sarawak campus- While gaining career oriented skills, developing you independence and making new friends this study tour is offered every July with different streams of the Electives Plus curriculum being offered each year. - Global Leadership in Boston
This intensive program is designed especially for postgraduate students in the Global Leadership Program or other Swinburne postgraduate courses. Working professionals wanting to enhance their academic preparation in this field may also be interested. The Global Leadership in Boston Program runs from through the month of July, during the Winter Term at Swinburne.
- Minor in Chinese Language
This minor introduces students to Mandarin the official language of China. Do you want to combine your study with international experience? This innovative program offers students the opportunity to study three of the four units at Beijing Language & Culture University (BLCU) in China. Alternatively, if you prefer to complete all the units at a Swinburne campus you are welcome to choose to.
Student Mobility Scholarships 2011-2012
Scholarships of up to $5000 are currently available for students who select to study in USA, Mexico, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Italy or Korea. With a over $400,000 to be awarded to successful applicants, there has never been a better time to apply for International Student Exchange.
