  SwinEmploy is a web-based database used by Careers and Employment to advertise job vacancies to students and graduates of Swinburne University of Technology. It is designed as an employer self-service facility. Careers and Employment are not an agency and as such do not involve themselves in selecting or recommending students to any vacancy on SwinEmploy.

Careers and Employment reserves the right to refuse any person or organisation use of this service.

All jobs advertisements submitted to SwinEmploy must comply with the law, including obligations which apply under the Equal Opportunity Act 1995, Trade Practices Act 1974 and the Racial Discrimination Act 1975.
 
  Careers and Employment will not accept advertisements for:
  bulletCommission-only jobs
bulletIndependent contracting arrangements (self employment)
bulletWork offering ‘piece rates’ i.e. where payment is per product, per delivery, per sale made. An hourly rate that is at least award wage level is required
bulletWork involving any illegal activity
bulletAny work which requires the employee to purchase a product or service or requires a security deposit or similar as condition of employment.
     
  Careers and Employment reserves the right to withdraw or refuse any advertisement where:
  bulletNon-compliance of these terms and conditions has occurred
bulletMisleading or incorrect information has been provided
bulletComplaints about the advertiser has been received
bulletThe job opportunity is considered to be inappropriate
bulletThe behaviour of the employer is deemed by Careers and Employment to be unethical.
     
  Liability
  Careers and Employment is not liable to users and recruiters in respect of any loss or damage (including consequential loss or damage) which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of services supplied by Careers and Employment.

Advertisers agree to indemnify Careers and Employment and its staff against all claims, action, suits, costs and expenses incurred on any account by Careers and Employment as result of their advertisement.

Careers and Employment does not necessarily recommend or endorse any organisation or service providers featured on SwinEmploy.

Employers agree that the information they provide in their advertisement is accurate and complete and contains information which is compliant with the law.
     
  Other Information
  Careers and Employment need to approve all submitted jobs advertisements before being made available for access to students and graduates. These are processed Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 5pm, except for University holidays and national public holidays.

Careers and Employment may use the employer’s email address to:

bulletUpdate them about SwinEmploy
bulletClarify vacancy details, when necessary
bulletUndertake labour market research
bulletAlert them to other services to facilitate recruitment

Careers and Employment will not disclose personal information to third parties without their consent.
