Ph.D Research Area
- Modelling of thermal magnesium processes
Aim
The aim of project is to:
- analyse the thermodynamics of thermal magnesium routes, especially silicothermic processes,
- develop mathematical models, based on physical chemistry principles, to predict the distribution of elements in these processes over a range of conditions, and
- propose new optimal routes and/or operating conditions for magnesium production based on this analysis.
Main Research Interests
- Thermodynamics
- Physical chemistry
- Process Design
