Getting to the WISE Conference and What You Need to Know
Visa Information
All visitors coming to Australia for a conference must obtain a business short-stay visa. The following site contains information from the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs on how to apply:
A hotel will be booked in the centre of Melbourne for participants arriving early. Information regarding this hotel will be posted early in 2007.
On the 15 and 16 April, buses will be organised to bring the participants from this hotel to the Grand Pacific Hotel in Lorne (approximately a two hour drive).
Alternatively, participants can rent a car or use public transport transport. Public transport to Lorne is via train to Geelong (from Southern Cross Station) and then bus from Geelong to Lorne.
