Amendment to Enrolment

AMENDMENT TO ENROLMENT FORM
Forms must be fully completed. Please ensure that when the form is submitted it is signed and dated by the Program Administrator (Hong Kong).
Each time your enrolment is changed in any way, you will receive an 'Enrolment Confirmation Advice' by mail. Students are responsible for verifying their own enrolments and should be aware that errors can be expensive. Students should contact the Hong Kong Program Administrator to amend any errors as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT: Students who wish to withdraw from any subject must submit Amendment to Enrolment Form at least 2 weeks prior to class commencement of that subject in order to process your fee refund. Please ensure that you are familiar with the fee and refund policies of the program.
Change to Personal Details
It is the student's responsibility to ensure that Swinburne has current contact details. Please note: if you wish to make an amendment to your name or date of birth, you must complete an Name/Date of Birth Amendment Form and submit it with documentary evidence, to your campus Program Administrator (Hong Kong).

AMENDMENT TO PERSONAL DETAILS FORM
SwinLink
Students are able to update their personal details via SwinLink, the personal details that can be changed are as follows:
- Name and date of birth
- Postal and Addresses
- Employer details
- Email address
- Telephone numbers
- Emergency contact details
To update your information on SwinLink key in your Initial Login ID will be your seven-digit student ID number, and the initial password will be date of birth in ddmmyy format. WARNING! If you have not yet changed your password on this system, please log on to SwinLink and change your password immediately. Also, please ensure that your email address is kept up to date.
Before accessing this system you must read the Security Statement and Privacy Statement. Please note that for security reasons you will not be able to use the back-button within SwinLink and we ask that you log-off and shut your browser at the end of your visit.
SwinLink is designed to be viewed using either Netscape Version 4.77 or above and Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or above. Please note that SwinLink may not function correctly with other browsers.
Program Withdrawal

WITHRAWAL FROM COURSE FORM
Students should notify Swinburne of their intention to withdraw from the program by completing the above Withdrawal From Course Form. The completed form must be submitted to the Program Administrator (Hong Kong) for processing. Refunds are only paid if the student supplies a copy of her/his enrolment receipt, and only if the application is submitted according to the deadlines outlined on our fees and policies page.
Please ensure that when the form is submitted it is signed and dated as received by the administrative staff and that you retain the signed student copy. This is your evidence that you have lodged the form. Refunds will be mailed to students within one month of their withdrawal, subject to Swinburne refund policies.
Deferral Policy

Once enrolled in the program, students can apply to defer a subject to suit their study pattern. Two weeks prior to the subject commencement, students should complete the form and nominate the preferred subsequent subject. Once approved, the subject fee is automatically deferred to the subsequent subject, less an administrative fee of AU$200 (HK$1000). The Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies will hold the balance of fees until recommencement of the Program. However, if the total study period exceeds a maximum period of three years, students will be required to re-enrol in the program and will be subject to a new enrolment fee. Please refer to our Fee and Refund Policy page for further information.

Adverse Weather Arrangement
Typhoons
When typhoons affect Hong Kong, the following general arrangements will apply:

When the Hong Kong Observatory announces that typhoon signal No. 8 or above will be hoisted within 2 hours, all activities of campuses including examinations will immediately be suspended.

In times of rainstorms, the following general arrangements will apply:

When BLACK signal is issued during class/examination
All classes/examinations in campuses should continue until the end of the session and when conditions are safe for students to return home.
Announcement of suspension/resumption of classes
Notification of the suspension/resumption of classes will be posted on the Blackboard information system of the current subject. Students are advised to check the Blackboard website prior to attending classes. Classes that are suspended due to adverse weather conditions will be re-scheduled for the weekend or evenings in the following weeks. Notices will be posted on Blackboard.
Evening classes in HK will run as usual unless Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above,
or the Black Rainstorm Warning is in force at 4 pm HK time on that day.
