John Craven

John Craven studied Science at Melbourne University graduating in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Mathematics and Statistics. Originally planning to become an actuary John was "sidetracked" into joining the fledgling consulting group at accounting firm Arthur Andersen, a move that led to a 25 year career as a technology and business consultant in Australia and Asia. John became a Partner at Arthur Andersen in 1983 and held a number of local and international roles. Today that "fledgling consulting group" is known as Accenture and is recognised as a world leader in its field.
Keen to explore life beyond what had become Andersen Consulting John established his own consulting firm in 1998. Today known as Terranovate, John's firm operates from offices in Melbourne and Sydney under the banner "we help companies grow". John is also the Chairman of a software company and advisor to a number of private and public sector organisations assisting them to identify opportunities to use and market technology in innovative value adding ways.
John has spent considerable time in Asia and has assisted a number of "western" companies from Australia and the United States to do business in China.
