The following are example collaborative research projects carried out by research programs under the SOC theme:
Adaptive Service Agreement and Process Management in Services Grids develops new technology solutions for flexible, dynamic and robust management of service-oriented application provision processes to ensure collective functionality, end-to-end QoS and stateful coordination of complex services. It is undertaken in collaboration with DSTO, EIN and Telstra. |
Adaptive Services Grid develops an open development platform for adaptive services discovery, creation, composition and enactment. It is undertaken in collaboration with the EU Consortium of 21 research and industry partners. |
Services Environment Network for Virtual Organisations focuses on an agent-based service-oriented infrastructure to support construction and management of new collaborative environments for virtual organisations that can be provided on-demand in a variety of end-user applications including e-business, e-learning, e-health and e-government services. It is undertaken in collaboration with EIN. |
Smart Information Environments aims at providing intelligent agent-based and service-oriented solutions for complex enterprise systems. This is undertaken in collaboration with DSTO. (commercial in confidence) |
Enterprise System Integration and Evolution develops architecture-guided and service-oriented methods and solutions for managing and implementing the interoperation of enterprise applications in changing environments. It is undertaken in collaboration with DSTO. |
Hierarchical Optimisation performs global optimisation of complex systems that may also have their own local optimisation strategies. This has already been applied to scheduling complex industrial processes in collaboration with an Industry Partner. (commercial in confidence) |
Anomaly Detection seeks to identify unusual events in complex high-volume information environments where anomalies typically cannot be detected locally requiring instead detection at the system level. This is undertaken in collaboration with an Industry Partner. (commercial in confidence) |
Towards a Framework for Supporting Consistent and Reliable Collaborative Business Transactions aims at developing theory, mechanisms and infrastructure for supporting collaborative business transactions in the web service environment. It is undertaken in collaboration with Victoria University of Technology, Macquarie University and Tilburg University (The Netherlands) with ARC support. |
Constraints in XML Schema Integration aims at integrating constraints in schema integration for quality data integration in XML. It is undertaken in collaboration with University of South Australia with ARC support. |
Internet-based E-Business Ventures aims at developing possible e-businesses that can be taken to market in collaboration with ITSC Asia Pacific. |
Grid Workflow Verification and Inconsistency Removal aims at developing effective and efficient verification and inconsistency removal methods and algorithms in collaboration with adesso. |
