Career Summary
Rowan Deam’s early career was as a Theoretical Physicist. He has since worked in Industrial Research; firstly in the Research Department of the Central Electricity Generating Board in the UK, then in Manufacturing Technology for CSIRO. He now works at the Industrial Research Institute Swinburne in the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Sciences at Swinburne University. His interest is in mathematical modelling of industrial processes, physical and chemical systems. He has experience managing large research groups (55 people) and has a keen interest in the strategic direction of applied research.
