You must be on campus to create the link but the link will also work from off-campus.
Linking to a dictionary or reference work
You can link to an individual reference work (such as a dictionary) contained in Oxford Reference Online.
- Go to Oxford Reference Online
- Locate the item you wish to link to and copy the link location.
It will look like this:
http://www.oxfordreference.com/views/BOOK_SEARCH.html?book=t62
- Insert the following text immediately before the URL:
http://ezproxy.lib.swin.edu.au/login?url=
Example:
Linking to an extract or definition
You can link to an extract or definition of a term from a reference work or dictionary.
- Go to Oxford Reference Online and search for a term.
- Go to the definition you want to link to and copy the URL from the address bar.
It will look like this:
http://www.oxfordreference.com/views/ENTRY.html?ssid=427219829&entry=t62.002367&srn=5#FIRSTHIT
- Insert the following text immediately before the DOI:.
