Linking to articles in SpringerLink

You must be on campus to create the link but the link will also work from off-campus.

1. Connect to SpringerLink using this link
http://link.springer.de/ol/index.htm

2. Search or browse for an article.

You have full text access to all titles and articles shown with this green icon: green box

3. It is recommended that you link with the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) since this is designed to be a constant in the online environment.

4. Obtain the DOI
From the list of results, click on the title of the article. This will take you to the Abstract Page of the article.

Copy the string in the DOI field. It will look something like this 10.1007/PL00012590

abstract page

5. Construct the link
Add the following link to the DOI string obtained from step 4 above

http://ezproxy.lib.swin.edu.au/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/

The complete link will now look like as below
http://ezproxy.lib.swin.edu.au/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/PL00012590

The link will take you to the article screen. Full text article can be viewed in PDF or HTML format.
