About Media and Communications at Swinburne

Swinburne provides you with a broad and practical approach to media studies, preparing them to work in both the media and multimedia industries. You will explore how society makes sense of texts within social and cultural contexts. You will also gain an understanding of political economy and the new media, examining issues such as ownership, control of the media and the impact of new technologies.

Swinburne Media and Communications studies also emphasises hands-on skills in web-publishing, radio production and workplace experience.
