The World Health Organization (WHO) and Australian Centre for RF Bioeffects Research (ACRBR) Regional Workshop will focus on radio frequency fields, their possible health effects and the policy options for protection. This Workshop will follow the Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS) Conference in Melbourne and will be held nearby at Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn Campus, on the 17-18 November 2005.
As part of the International Electromagnetic Field Project, this meeting will aim to review the available research in the area, summarise what conclusions can be made and discuss what research is required in the future. Additional aims are to consult with experts in the area with regards to the use of precautionary measures and address the communication of risks to the public.
This Regional Workshop is open to all members of the community, academia, industry and government. It will comprise oral presentations, discussions and invited talks. All abstracts will be published in the Workshop Proceedings booklet, provided to all attendees. The results of this meeting will additionally be submitted to the WHO International EMF Project.
