You don’t have to go to university to get postgraduate qualifications
Distance education is a flexible mode of delivery in which on-campus attendance is either not required or kept to a minimum.
Students are provided with a range of comprehensive learning materials which may include study guides, readings, set exercises and references.
Some distance education programs also integrate online learning into course delivery.
What about correspondence?
"Correspondence" and "distance education" are interchangable terms.
Swinburne uses "distance education" to describe delivery methods which make study easier for students who can't regularly attend a campus, while other institutions use "correspondence".
