Graduate Certificate of Business (Quality Management)

The Graduate Certificate of Business (Quality Management) has been designed to meet the needs of quality officers and managers wanting to pursue specialist study and develop their managerial skills.

The program addresses the ISO 9000 standards for quality and incorporates the criteria of the Australian Business Excellence Framework. The course develops core leadership, team work and management competencies required by contemporary quality managers and their organisations. 

It is applicable to large and small organisations in manufacturing, health, service, and not for profit and can also be tailored to an organisation's specific needs for in-house delivery. 

The expected area and level of employment for graduates will be for quality officers to move into management roles and for managers to take on more senior responsibilities.

Graduate Certificate in Small Business Management

This course has been designed to meet the needs of small business owners, prospective business owners and consultants to small business, essentially to educate participants on the requirements of small business and to enhance participants' chances of success in their chosen business field.

On completion of the course, students should possess an improved job and/or business performance and a greater awareness of the inherent challenges associated with being in small business.

Master of Design (Multimedia Design)

This course has a strong emphasis on the reasoned, reflective and systematic development of design outcomes and harnessing creative strategy for competitive advantage.

It covers the full spectrum of themes and knowledge for the contemporary multimedia designer such as usability and user-centred design for the screen, motion graphics for broadcast, web animation and film titles, animation, 3D modelling, project planning, storyboard techniques, principles of narrative, scriptwriting and character development for digital media, principles of game design and multimedia design for public spaces.

On completion participants should possess a balance of leadership and vocationally oriented attributes, including:

  • Strong industry connections and awareness of the pace of development in the design industry.
  • Capacity for high levels of innovation in the development of creative projects.
  • 'State of the art' skills for design development, production, presentation and management.
  • Capacity to integrate design into diverse organisational cultures.
  • Capacity to embrace and manage change.
