Support for Students with Refugee or Asylum Seeker Status

Asylum Seekers - Fee Waivers

To be eligible for a fee waiver, you must:

  • Have been accepted into a Swinburne undergraduate course.
  • A holder of a temporary protection visa or a bridging visa (E) and have been granted asylum seeker status.
  • Not be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place.
  • Be able to prove financial need.

Refugees - Scholarships

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must:

  • Have been accepted into a Swinburne undergraduate course. (This must be a Commonwealth Supported Place)
  • A holder of a permanent humanitarian visa or Australian Citizenship and be recognised as a refugee.
  • Be able to prove financial need.
